Lacing up again!

Made it! 2009

Welcome to my Boston Marathon 2014 Blog!

After 5 years, and saying that 2009 was my last marathon…I’m signed up to run Boston 2014 with the Dana-Farber Marathon Challenge Team. Loosing two magical people to cancer and seeing one dear friend beat it, I was moved once again to get out there and do something about it.   Last year’s events at the finish line combined with my own experiences (so long ago…so fresh in that moment) had me certain that I had one more round of 26.2 in me.

I’m trying to get out of the gate quickly this year with my fundraising (unlike my plan to actually run the race which will be a gentle (read: slow) start and (I hope) a strong finish!  In this blog, I will be telling you about honored heroes who have inspired me in so many ways.  As a reminder, 100% of the funds I raise go to Dana Faber for research; it’s so rare for charities to donate every penny raised. You’ll be able to track the training, honored hero stories, and fundraising on my blog. To donate today, please go to my personal fundraising page here:  Donate Here! or click on the button on your right.

This will be my 10th marathon! I hope you’ll join me in working to have “Cancer” be a word that becomes obsolete.

Thank you as always for your support…it means the world to so many people, especially me!
